In English, we have many conjunctions: for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so. In Sindarin, we know of only three: "and" a(r), "or" egor, and "but" ach. In a list, the conjunction is only used between the last two items of the list.
"And" can be translated with a (before consonants, causes vocalic mutation) and ar (before vowels).
"But" can be translated with ach. It makes the following word undergo Lenition.
"Or" and "nor" can be translated with egor. It makes the following word undergo Liquid Mutation.
